WELCOME TO THE
WESTLAKE HIGH/MIDDLE SCHOOL
VIRTUAL LIBRARY
Mrs. Knopp, Library Media Specialist, collects, organizes, and facilitates access to information resources in many formats. Students are encouraged to use varied media for research including books, periodicals, reference databases, and the Internet. Our mission is to support and enhance the research, information, reading, viewing, and instructional needs of students and staff. Mrs. Knopp provides instruction in the use of traditional and new information technologies that enhance and reinforce the school curriculum.
The library program ultimately seeks to promote the skills, knowledge and attitudes of students that will enable them to become critical thinkers, lifelong learners and effective users of information in the 21st century.
All students and faculty are invited to participate in poetry slams, book discussions, and other events throughout the year conducted by Mrs. Knopp and the Library Council.
This wiki was developed to facilitate 24/7 access to reliable information resources for students, teachers and parents.
Please feel free to e-mail Mrs. Knopp at mknopp@mtplcsd.org if you have any questions or suggestions.
